It is with great pride that we publish our first-ever Sustainability Report, which aims to present SAMSHIN’s commitment and efforts toward sustainable management.

Over the past year, we have focused on establishing systems aimed at realizing sustainable value for the future. These include the introduction of eco-friendly manufacturing processes, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, engaging in community contribution activities, and implementing ethical management practices. Additionally, we have made significant efforts to fulfill our social responsibilities, such as creating safe working environments, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships with local communities, and building a sustainable supply chain. These initiatives go beyond ensuring the company’s survival; they reflect our commitment as a manufacturer to addressing global environmental and social challenges and contributing to society. Moving forward, we will continue to minimize environmental impact through better technology and innovation, fulfill our social responsibilities, and strive to deliver the best products and services to our valued customers.

Since its establishment of a technology research center in 1986, Samshin Limited has been committed to continuous research and development. We achieved a significant milestone in the domestic industry by successfully localizing petrochemical forged valves in 1976, thermal power forged valves in 1979, and nuclear safety valves in 1984, which were previously entirely reliant on imports.
Additionally, we have taken the lead in increasing the localization rate of nuclear power technology by successfully localizing primary-side safety relief valves, safety actuators, and safety control valves. Recently, we have focused on developing new growth engines, including safety electro-hydraulic valves (EHOV) and valves for SMR systems. Through relentless research and development aimed at sustainable growth and carbon neutrality, we are committed to delivering safe products that meet our customers’ needs

Samshin Limited became the first valve company in Asia to obtain ASME N and NPT certifications in 1993. Successfully completing performance verification tests for power-operated valves for the main steam supply system, the company exported safety valves for nuclear power plants to countries such as Korea, India, China, and the UAE. In 2009, Samshin was approved as a qualified supplier in the nuclear safety sector by Westinghouse, the global leader in nuclear technology, and successfully supplied safety and non-safety valves for various packages of the AP-1000 project. Building on this technological foundation, Samshin Limited established a partnership with the Westinghouse Part Business division in 2023, creating a framework to supply maintenance and replacement parts for operating nuclear power plants overseas.

As expectations for nuclear energy grow in response to climate change, Samshin Limited has reorganized its structure to facilitate swift decision-making and better handle nuclear power projects. The company also continuously provides support and opportunities to nurture in-house experts in the field.
